The Devil is Your Friend

Our ceremony for the New Moon was meant to be outside in hopes of witnessing the Northern Lights, but had to be moved inside at the last minute due to wind and other complications. In the rush of moving, the recording was not completed. We will try again on the night of the Full Moon.

The "Issue" XV Cerunnos or The Devil

The Devil card is an indication to avoid overindulging, which is one of the things you do to numb and check out. You must remain mindful and make conscious choices, assuming responsibility for your actions and not just going through the motions to avoid pain or fill an empty spot. The devil is here to challenge you. Your greatest growth and joy is in witnessing these challenges and struggles and using your wisdom and will to restore balance. Each time you witness and overcome the temptation to do something that is in opposition to your highest good, and you make a choice to turn to the light instead, you grow, you expand, you blossom. This is the victory and the joy of living in a human body. The aspects of the devil; greed, envy, fear, doubt are all just a part of being human and will never leave you. This is a gift. When you see yourself being overly concerned with the material and turn deliberately toward the spiritual, your light brightens, and your heart expands. When you choose to honor your body with stillness, movement, and attention, instead of mindlessly self-soothing with food or entertainment. You grow. You blossom. This card for you today is to remind you to assume the responsibility of being balanced and not too engaged with the sensual or overindulgence in anything. 

The "Solution" The Queen of Wands - Mother Fire

The path to this healing is the Queen of Wands, Mother Fire. Tempering the fire with water. Bringing gentleness, kindness, compassion and love to each decision and deliberately adjusting your course toward the path of light is the way to facing the challenge of the devil. The Queen of Wands, Fire Mother is powerful and full of grace. 

The results card, the 10 of Wands, is a bit confusing as it seems to be a card of struggle. But in this position, it indicates something different. Instead of being trapped or caged, you are bursting free from the bonds of ego. You are free now to choose your path, engaging your will and acting according to the wisdom of your heart. The final destination of this path is freedom, abundance, and wealth.

Remember that there is no judgement and none is required of you. Each time you choose to turn from greed to generosity, carelessness to mindfulness, fear to faith, doubt to trust, you make room for more light.
