How to Have a Magical Day
The sun is just rising as I start my Body Magic playlist and begin. Two sweet labs are lounging on the couch, watching me with bright, curious eyes, and a big smile lights up my heart. This moving meditation is my daily spiritual practice.
For many months, I was changing locations so often and among so many people that I lost my devotion. And I felt it. So for more than seven weeks now, I haven’t missed a day, no matter what. The stage is set for my daily life, like a magic carpet that leads to people, ideas, opportunities, synchronicities, and surprises.
In sessions with Magic Makers, I guide us through the intention, the visualization, the nuances, but there are never enough words to fully describe the magic that happens in each.
We open and close every gathering with three magical breaths. It seems so simple, but there is so much happening. We actually take the time to gather up all the pieces of ourselves and bring them back to center, to be fully present. We let our inhale wake up and say hello to every single cell.
I’ve shared the rest of this reflection on Substack, including more about Daily Body Magic, invocation, breath, and the practice that helps me begin the day with presence and possibility.
